What is InternSHPE?

InternSHPE is an immersive program designed to give students the opportunity to shadow and learn directly from fellow students serving on SHPE’s eboard! Through this program, you will gain valuable insights into leadership roles, event planning, and organizational management within the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers at Binghamton University.

Learn More About Eboard: If you are interested in becoming a part of SHPE’s eboard, InternSHPE is the best opportunity to learn more about the inner workings of SHPE! Shadowing eboard members will provide you with insights into various leadership roles, event management, and community outreach initiatives.

Personal Growth: Develop valuable skills such as communication, teamwork, organization, and problem-solving while actively contributing to SHPE’s mission and vision.

Impactful Contributions: Play an integral role in organizing events, conducting outreach activities, and supporting SHPE’s initiatives, making a tangible difference within the organization and the wider community.

Applications are currently closed, they usually open start of the spring semester.

Anyone is welcome to apply for the InterSHPE!

The process consists of an application and an interview. We will collect all applications and will be in touch with candidates we wish to interview shortly after!

As an intern, you will be expected to attend weekly meetings and events. The approximate time commitment is about 6 hours a week.
