What is the SHPE Gokart?
The SHPE go-kart project is our year long technical project for the 2025-2026 scholastic year. In this project we are implementing a digital dashboard where we track real time metrics such as time lapsed, speed, and acceleration. So far we have created sub-assemblies for different aspects of the kart on Fusion-360 and hosted workshops that accompany the project such as CAD and Python.
Why should I be part of SHPE's GoKart team?
The SHPE go-kart team is the only project on campus in which we improve upon an existing kart. All members have a say on any aesthetic and technical improvements they want to implement and are guided into making these ideas into a reality. We strive to make it an inclusive environment and empower Hispanics in STEM.

Meetings are held biweekly in the FabLab E2 Room on Sundays 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Join our GroupMe to stay up to date with our announcements!
Many of our members are beginners or have no background in engineering. We encourage students of all skill levels to join and we also host weekly office hours to provide extra support to those who need it.
