FLAMES 2026
On Monday, March 23rd, SHPE hosted the Female Leadership and Mentorship in Engineering and Science (FLAMES) Panel in Old Union Hall, bringing students together for an evening of empowerment, mentorship, and professional growth. Attendees had the opportunity to network, engage in a panel discussion featuring women in STEM, and enjoy food and refreshments.
Panelists shared their experiences, challenges, and insights, encouraging open dialogue and meaningful conversation. As part of SHPE’s celebration of SHPEtinas, the event fostered a supportive environment where participants could build connections, gain inspiration, and uplift one another in their STEM journeys.
Jarritos & Dibujitos
On Tuesday, March 17th, SHPE collaborated with Corazoncitos to host Jarritos & Dibujitos, a social event focused on creativity and community building. During the event, attendees enjoyed refreshing Jarritos while expressing themselves through drawing, creating a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.
The event provided a space for students to connect, unwind, and engage with one another through art. Participants had the freedom to draw whatever they liked, sparking creativity and conversation while strengthening bonds with one another.
